The Manager of Commercial Products is responsible for the development and management of product lifecycles for all HMO, POS, and PPO products. The HMO and POS products reside under the clients HMO license, The PPO product resides under the clients Insurance license.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

·         Analysis of product positioning and pricing in the market

·         Knowledge of competitor products and pricing

·         Development of product strategies and oversight of tactics Monitoring of business outcomes

·         Gathering and prioritizing customer requirements

·         Management of group-specific modifications

·         Modification of products to accommodate legislative changes

·         Consultation with internal and external stakeholders on products

·         Subject matter expertise on the products’ plan designs

·         Provide direction on product strategies, coordinate with other departments to execute key tactics, and monitor overall business outcomes.

·         Coordinate with other members of the Product and Market Development team in their development of (1) funding mechanisms such as self-funding, shared-funding, and experience-rating; and (2) consumer-engaged/wellness products and programs.

·         Lead or consult on special projects as requested by the organization.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

·         Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in health science, health promotion, health education or related field. Masters degree preferred. Business degree a plus.

·         Minimum of 6 years demonstrated successful experience in wellness programming and operations.

·         Superior customer service and relations skills and commitment to service excellence. Ability to nurture and maintain strong positive relationships with internal and external customers.

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to manage resources and operate effectively within defined budget parameters.

·         Demonstrated supervisor experience and strong leadership and coaching skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to make quality independent decisions and exercise good judgment.

·         Demonstrated ability to work as part of team in the accomplishment of goals.
