The RFP Development Specialist is responsible for developing, writing, editing, producing and packaging RFP’s, Proposals, Geo Access, Strennus reports and other valued added sales materials for Sales and Client Services.  Will complete all Requests to ensure quality standards and compliance to maintain and increase membership and enhance sales effectiveness.  In addition, will be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating the repository database along with developing and monitoring RFP processes and procedures. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Research, write and edit RFP’s and RFI’s to promote the company.

·         Develop and implement value proposition sales and marketing materials to enhance our retention and new business success.

·         Research and recommend effective sales and packaging content that enhances brand value and corporate reputation with key audiences (agents, consultants, employer groups and commercial members).

·         Lead cross-departmental teams in responding to large new businesses RFP’s under tight deadlines as well as researching and building the value proposition and ROI of the company’s performance.

·         Develop creative RFP packaging (binders, electronic version, etc.) that positively position our brand.

·         Support special projects that concentrate on writing, packaging and marketing.

·         Actively represent the department as requested.

·         Properly prepare for meetings as requested.

·         Organize, lead, and manage the position to enhance outcomes and favorable competitive positioning in the marketplace.

·         Participate in process mapping and work on solutions to corporate issues.

·         Serve on various committees as requested/required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         Five to seven years professional experience in a health insurance environment.

·         Experience in managing a high volume of traffic and production flow.

·         Exceptional writing and creativity skills.  Demonstrated experience in writing marketing/sales materials.

·         Exceptional project planning and management skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

·         Ability to control and guide a large volume of work, while working collaboratively with various company functions.

·         Very detail oriented.

·         Possess a working knowledge of office machinery.
