Our Grand Rapids client is seeking a Datastore/Business Intelligence Software Developer to join their Data Store Development team. This position will be responsible for the delivery of ETL and/or reporting applications supporting both existing and new business solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops and enhances ETL applications and/or Business Objects components to meet business requirements.
• Writes maintainable PL/SQL procedures, when necessary.
• Writes test cases, unit tests.
• Performs exploratory testing.
• May be required to learn and share new languages or other technologies.
• Follows coding, communication, documentation and source control standards.
• Provides support to customers for Data Store applications through software development, maintenance, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Perform code reviews and design review for adherence to standards.
• May assist in data modeling.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
• 1-3 years of data warehousing or similar experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix, Business Objects and/or other data warehousing concepts and techniques.
• A good understanding of software engineering principles including structured programming, and software development life cycles.
• Ability to understand an entity relationship data model.
