Our Grand Rapids client is seeking a Senior ETL Software Developer to join their Data Store Development team. This position will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of ETL and data warehousing applications across multiple business projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL systems and design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads development of Data Store team design, coding, communication, documentation and standards.
• Designs, develops, and enhances data models, ETL applications to meet business requirements.
• Writes maintainable and optimized PL/SQL procedures.
• Writes test cases, unit tests and performs exploratory testing.
• Reviews technical requirements, designs, and code for adherence to standards.
• Performs query and database tuning and optimization.
• Analyzes business needs and translates into system requirements.
• Creates work estimates to assist in project prioritization.
• Works closely with business users, project managers and other developers to assure the delivery of quality solutions.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of data warehousing or similar experience.
• Has extensive knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix, Business Objects and/or other data warehousing concepts and techniques.
• Understanding of the managed care business and how Data Warehousing can be used to address the needs of the business is a plus.
• A strong understanding of entity relationship data modeling, with experience using data modeling tools (ERwin preferred).
